The Haunted House will open its doors from October 20 to 30, 2009. Our goal for the 2008 event is to raise $30,000.00 in support of projects like those listed below:

• Various projects in the Waterdown area
• Local Projects in Waterdown – Rotary Club of Waterdown
• Worldwide Polio Eradication Campaign – one of the most successful world health initiatives ever was Rotary driven internationally
• A variety of Hamilton inner-city school and youth initiatives including summer literacy programs held at Bennetto, Cathy Wever and Sanford Ave. Schools
• Waterdown High School Football Sponsor
• Keith Neighbourhood Renewal – Inner city project
• Nutrition programs and Rotary Trip Fund for the students at Cathy Wever School and Sanford Avenue School
• Support of the Bay Area Science and Engineering Fair and the Mad Science Programs at various schools
• Funding source for Easter Seals locally for many years
• Instrumental in the development of Junior Achievement and Amity Goodwill in this area
• Salem Literacy Project in India

All of this has been made possible by a dedicated group of Rotarians with the support and participation of many community partners.  Our theme for this year’s Haunted House is “London Fright” and we would like to invite you to participate.

This event provides a wonderful opportunity for corporate and individual supporters from across the community to raise money for Rotary sponsored initiatives.  The Rotary Club of Hamilton raises in excess of $150,000 annually in this community from a variety of events – something we can all take pride in!
